Nail polishes are something you will find in every room of my house. The collection is endless. One of my New Year's resolutions was to look after my nails. After a few acrylic nightmares, my nails had gotten weak, bendy and generally worse for wear. The past 17 days has been a whirl wind of Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle Salon Strength Treatment and L'OCCITANE Shea Butter Hand Cream. I'm definitely seeing a massive difference already and if you don't already own these items, get your purse out and whip them up!
After a thorough treatment routine, I start debating nail colours. This is generally a long process because I get distracted by some many pretty bottles! For the sake of a shorter blog post - here are my three favourites for this month!
CIATE IN ENCORE* If you're after an alternative to red then this is your shade. It's a beautiful tomato based orange with a muted shine finish. It's long lasting, trans-seasonal and one coat has great opacity!
BARRY M NAIL PAINT IN RED BLACK Barry M can bit a bit iffy with their polishes. I think their collection of colours can be incredible but the durability isn't great. For the price you cannot complain and I can forgive them for this polish because the shade is beautiful - a deep red wine with a high gloss finish. It goes on a bit watery but bare with it. It will build up to a rich dark and opaque colour.
MAYBELLINE COLOURSHOW BROCADES IN WOVEN SKYLINE I don't actually own many Maybelline polishes but this collection caught my eye in the aisles of Superdrug. It's a very unique formula with small and chunky silver glitters in a black base that comes up as a shimmery purple in bright light. I often find that there are two types of glitter polishes - ones that take forever to removes from your nails (normally a finer milled glitter) and ones that are quite easily chipped. This took really well and with a nice coat of Seche Vite, stayed on my hands for a good five days.
i love the ciaté color. its so bright and fun.
